Egbert Taylor Group’s longstanding skips and containers brand, Sellers, has launched a new asbestos waste container as part of its move to build a portfolio of durable hazardous waste solutions and expand its market share within the hazardous waste sector.
The new container will be officially launched at this year’s Hazardous Materials Expo, part of the Contamination Expo Series, at London Excel on 27 – 28 September.
The launch follows a successful partnership with Biffa that saw the Oldham-based brand develop eight smooth-sided enclosed containers, with a fixed domed roof to prevent water ingress, specifically for the waste management company.
All eight containers were hand-finished in Biffa’s red corporate livery with an additional yellow tone to differentiate them from other non-asbestos containers.
In keeping with Sellers’ reputation for producing highly engineered and precision products, the new asbestos container has been fitted with a CHEM standard sub-frame that easily loads onto a hook lift vehicle. Each side is also fitted with two loading apertures and two heavyweight double skinned plastic side hinged doors, which are fully lockable when in transit.
The container has been specifically designed to make loading asbestos at ground level easy and to fit comfortably within household waste and recycling centres.
On the launch of Sellers’ latest container Mark Jenkins, Sales Director at Egbert Taylor Group, comments: “We’re delighted to be able to mark our inaugural appearance at the Contamination Expo Series with the launch of a new product. The hazardous waste sector is a thriving sector and one in which we’re looking to considerably extend our reach. It’s also a sector where quality, durability and safety, particularly when handling materials such as asbestos, is of paramount importance. As part of Sellers’ ‘quality without compromise’ ethos, we’re confident that those looking for an effective way in which to containerise asbestos will be suitably impressed with our latest offering.”
Sellers is now taking orders for the new asbestos containers, which will become available from October 2017.
